Aims, Skills and Learning Outcomes

This curricular unit, in continuity with the previous ones, aims to impart the theoretical and practical knowledge that enables relevant information to be collected to measure the quality of the services on offer, whether residential or not, and to provide managerial and non-managerial staff with rigorous knowledge to improve the level of effectiveness of practices.
In addition to the general objectives of this set of curricular units, the aim is for students to consolidate their knowledge and develop theoretical and practical skills that will enable them not only to take part in processes to assess the quality of facilities and services for older people, but also to be agents in promoting these processes themselves.
In addition to solid procedural knowledge of the different quality assessment models, it is important for students to be able to understand the strengths and weaknesses of organizational dynamics and to draw up improvement plans.

Literature Notes

The lecturer will meet with students in Office 3 on Wednesdays (14:00-16:30) and Thursdays (14:00-16:00). The lecturer can adjust her timetable to meet the needs of student workers, and appointments must be made in advance by email.

Learning Methods

In this theoretical-practical curricular unit, various teaching methodologies will be combined, in particular expository methodologies, through the theoretical presentation of content related to assessing the quality of services, residential or otherwise, for older people, with a focus on assessing satisfaction. Participatory (brainstorming, promoting debate), collaborative (group work/exercises), problem-solving (case analysis, solving exercises) and research (critical analysis of written and/or audiovisual material) methodologies will also be taken into account.
