Aims, Skills and Learning Outcomes

1. To transmit theoretical knowledge on the question of social and community development and on the process of Community intervention. 2. To promote in students the ability to diagnose the needs and problems of the collective of seniors in a given community, the possibilities for intervention and their evaluation. 3. Disseminate instruments and projects of socio-cultural animation (CSA) for seniors, as means for social and community development. Skills. It is intended that students be able to: 1. Relate the objectives of the ASC to seniors with social and community development. 2. Intervene in the community through the process of diagnosis, intervention and evaluation. 3. Recognize the strategies and projects that exist for ASC for the elderly, such as social and community development processes.

Continuous Assessment

In accordance with the Regulation for the Evaluation of Knowledge, students may choose one of the following assessment modalities: 1. DISTRIBUTED EVALUATION. This modality includes: A) 1 individual written test to be done at the time of the final exam. The test has a weight of 50% in the final mark B) 1 practical work done, preferably in a group (maximum 2 students). The rules for carrying out the work will be made available in a separate document. The work has a weighting of 35% in the final grade. C) 1 oral presentation, individually or in groups (maximum 2 students), about a community development experience with seniors. The oral presentation has a weighting of 15% in the final grade. 2. FINAL EXAM (Article 12 of the Regulation for the Evaluation of Knowledge), which shall consist of an individual written examination. Note Well: In order for the student to remain in the distributed assessment, he / she must attend 75% of the total number of classes (Point 7 of Article 11 of the Regulation for Assessment of Knowledge
